Never Alone

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of passage?

His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.
He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm.
The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man! Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold.
It was then that he discovered his father sitting next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.
We, too, are never alone.
Even when we don't know it, God is watching over us, sitting beside us. Whatever challenages you might be face right now, know that God is not out of your reach.  

Moral of the story: Just because you can't see God, doesn't mean He is not there. 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.'

Our heavenly Father only desires the best for us, in the same way that we as parents want for our children. Trust His ways & know that He does have a plan for you, one that is beyond your imagination.

When I am week, than am I strong!

If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by circumstances in your life, remember....it's not your strength that will pull you through, but Gods'.  When we are at our weakest point, that is when God can truly work with us. It is by His grace that we are here & His grace that brings us to Him. Grace (the unmerited favor of God) is our opportunity for greatness, not what the "world" considers great but Gods' view. Weakness is a sign not looked to highly upon in this world and to show weakness of any kind puts us in a very vulnerable state. But it is by our weakness that allows us to be greatly used by God for Gods' purpose. Don't be afraid to be weak.........you will end up stronger than you ever thought possible!
2 Corinthians 12:9 ~ But He (Jesus) said to me,  "My grace is sufficient for you,  for My power is made perfect in weakness".
